  • WHAT TIMES DOES BREAD & CIRCUS OPERATE?

  • You can find all show times on our TIMETABLE page. We will also be making a daily timetable available for download on our home page and sharing it on socials - check back for this in January 2021. 

  • WHERE IS BREAD & CIRCUS THIS YEAR?

  • Bread & Circus will take place throughout the Christchurch CBD in venues ranging from Isaac Theatre Royal through to the Bridge of Remembrance.

  • HOW DO I GET THERE?

  • Leave the car at home and take public transport or ride your bike, there is limited parking near festival precincts.

  • IS THERE SHADE AT BUSKING PITCHES?

  • Some daytime pitches will have temporary shade spots up and the natural surrounding will provide some sun relief. Please make sure you bring along suitable shade protection, especially for young children.

  • WILL I BE PHOTOGRAPHED WHILE ATTENDING BREAD & CIRCUS?

  • We reserve the right to take video recordings and photographs at each event and within the site. By attending a performance at Bread & Circus you consent to be photographed and/or videotaped and acknowledge that the intended use is for archival and/or promotional purposes and authorise use by or on behalf of Bread & Circus.

  • CAN I TAKE PHOTOS?

  • The use of cameras, videos or other recording devices is strictly prohibited inside Bread & Circus venues. Outside of venues – we love happy snaps! Post them, share them and snap away (#BreadandCircusNZ). All professional photography and filming needs prior approval from Bread & Circus team with advance notice.

  • WHAT HAPPENS IF IT RAINS?

  • In the event of wet weather, shows will go ahead unless otherwise advised. For shows in indoor venues, our front of house team will open the venue doors early and do their absolute best to seat everyone as quickly as possible. Please bring an umbrella and/or weather appropriate clothing to stay dry while you wait.

  • CAN I TAKE CHILDREN TO BREAD & CIRCUS EVENTS?

  • Bread & Circus is generally a family-friendly festival. However, please carefully check any age restrictions on the event page of the website when purchasing tickets. Music, lights, and certain artistic content can unsettle infants. 

  • WHAT HAPPENS IF I LOSE OR FIND PROPERTY?

  • If you find something, please hand it in to any member of staff and we’ll do our best to return the item to its owner. If you have lost something notify a member of staff or security or email info@breadandcircus.co.nz

    Bread & Circus is not responsible for any lost or found property and will give any unclaimed items to charity or to the police at the conclusion of the season.

  • WHAT DO I DO IF I LOSE A CHILD OR PARENT? 

  • Please notify a member of staff immediately.
