On the corner of Manchester and Worcester Streets in the heart of Christchurch city sits a beautifully restored Church which now houses a stunning bar and live music venue.

Worship at the altar of Christchurch’s cultural and arts community in The Church, a heritage site and cornerstone of Christchurch hospitality with live music at the forefront, wood-fired pizzas, a large open bar area, lush mezzanine floor and a beautiful sun-soaked courtyard.

Once a severely quake-damaged stone building, The Church has paid homage to the building’s history in every corner of the venue, from the ornate double-vaulted timber ceiling, altar rails forming part of the bar, and the old choir loft now a viewing mezzanine. The Church’s original organ pipes were found in Timaru following the earthquakes and now form a stunning backdrop for live events.

This venue is wheelchair accessible.
